Duck Down is one of the most consistent hip hop labels in the game right now, with past releases including 9th Wonder & Buckshot, Kidz In The Hall, Heltah Skeltah and Marco Polo & Torae.  So it should come as no surprise that "Survival Skills" falls right in line with the legacy. 

 Teaming up with Blastmaster KRS-ONE after two successful albums with 9th Wonder, Buckshot and KRS bring the noise as only true veterans can.  The fourteen track album finds them spitting over tracks provided by an incredible roster of producers.  Black Milk, Marco Polo, Havoc of Mobb Deep, Nottz, Khrysis!, Ill Mind and Moss all come through with solid contributions.  The guests that show up really deliver as well - Pharoahe Monch, Immortal Technique, Sean Price, Mary J Blige, Smif N Wessun, Rock of Heltah Skeltah, K'Nann, DJ Revolution, Naledge from Kidz In The Hall and Slug from Atmosphere only add to the urgency of KRS and Buckshot's out to save hip hop message. 

While the album does tend to lose a little steam near the end, from start to finish, it's made crystal clear - Sucker MC's duck...DUCK DOWN!
