They're recording a new album together. They're not recording a new album together. They're cool with each other. They're not cool with each other. It's the on-going cycle in the musical relationship of Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth.
After calling it quits after 1994's "The Main Ingredient", the duo went their seperate ways, each with varied degrees of success. Anticipation was high for a reunion album through out the last decade and a half, but it only produced a handful of tracks for Pete Rock's solo records. Now, it seems, they have returned - at least in a live setting.
Next week, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth will be hitting up stages in London, Sweden, France, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Even if they go their seperate ways once again after this tour, it would be nice to at least get a live record with some bonus unreleased tracks from previous recording sessions. Hip Hop throws out a thank you in advance.
