The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the pioneering single "Rapper's Delight" by The Sugarhill Gang

The single, which is recognized as the first hit Hip-Hop single to achieve huge cross-over success, will be celebrated during “The Past, Present and Future of Hip Hop Tribute Concert” which is scheduled to take place in January 2010 in Cleveland, Ohio.

The weekend will feature an invite-only cocktail party with industry movers and shakers, a tribute to Mr. Magic and the finale concert featuring The Sugarhill Gang.  

"Rapper's Delight" has sold over 8 million copies worldwide since its release in 1979.
