Group title: The Kings of Pressure

Old school Long Island rap group with connections to Public Enemy.

This Long Island based group consisted of brothers Cracker Jay (Montez Johnson) and Double "Half Dead" D (Onzora Johnson). E.Z. Breeze (John Alford) from Hempstead, DJ Johnny Juice (John Rosado) from Uniondale, King A (Adrian White) and J. Finesse (Jerry Johnson) from Freeport.

Initially formed when Chuck D and Hank Boxley organized an MC/DJ contest in 1986 to find members to insert  into "pre-made" rap group templates prior to the release of Public Enemy's first album. A "pre-L.O.N.S." Charlie Brown was a contestant as well as a partner of DJ Johnny Juice.  The winners went on to form The Kings of Pressure.

The Kings of Pressure released a song on Red Alert's "Red Alert Goes Berserk" album (1987-Next Plateau) titled "Armed and Dangerous.

Their first single however was released on Let's Go Records (Next Plateau) called "Give Me The Mike" b/w "You Know How To Reach Us" in 1987.

Shortly after, the crew parted ways with Cracker Jay going to college, Johnny Juice entering the military, and E.Z. Breeze going his own way.

The remaining members, Double D and King A, were joined by new member J. Finesse and released an album entitled "Slang Teacher" on Next Plateau Records in 1989.

Currently, Craker Jay (Montez Johnson) is a professor at the University of Southern Connecticut.  King A (Adrian White) is an actor and has appeared in many indie productions as well as still doing music production.  E.Z. Breeze (John Alford) is currently managing and developing artists in his own camp.  Double D (Onzora Johnson) is currently inactive.  J. Finesse (Jerry Johnson) is still DJing and doing music production.  DJ Johnny Juice (John Rosado) is still involved with Chuck D and Public Enemy and is P.E.'s Studio DJ, In-House Producer, and Studio manager as well as Head A&R for Chuck D's Slam Jamz label.
