Less than a week after their spectacular arrival, Public Enemy have amassed the highest budget of all artists who are currently fund raising on SellaBand. As a result of the massive wave of publicity, the band's initiative to raise money on SellaBand has brought them more than 600 friends, both old and new, who collectively have brought them over $37,000 in budget already.

On their blog, the band tell the SellaBand community, that they are "pleased with our start, but know that we've got a lof of work to do." The total of over 1,200 Parts sold in the first five days of fund raising, result in a new record on SellaBand. Public Enemy are now over 12% in budget and will announce their plans for a second wave of publicity, shortly.  The new Public Enemy record is slated to be released in 2010.
