HHG: You both continue to release such a high level of quality material. Do the two of you almost feel reinvigorated at this point in your careers?
EDO.G: Yeah, yeah definitely. We're both at a great place in our careers, you know...the plane is up in the air and we're at a nice cruising altitude and we're comfortable where we're at. You know, we just plan on trying to continue to make great music.
HHG: Honestly, I was just so excited listening to the album, it's almost like it's your first album again. You guys are coming out, guns blazin'...
EDO.G: Yeah...(laughs) that was the idea man, you know. Definitely, if we made an album and we sounded dated, or the beats sounded like they were from 1991 or something like that, we'd have to stop. We specifically used a lot of the newer producers in the game on this album. We wanted that fresh sound, that right now sound. We sought out a lot of the younger cats that had that real fire, a lot of the up and coming producers in the game.
HHG: Will you be touring in support of "Arts & Entertainment"?
Masta Ace: Yeah, we're actually about to go over to Europe. We're leaving on Thanksgiving and we're gonna be over there until almost Christmas time doing shows. After the new year, we're going out on probably a U.S./Canada run and then we're hoping, in February or March, to hit Africa, Japan and Australia. We're gonna try and touch the world.
HHG: You know, there's a lot of pioneers in the game that are coming back out with strong albums. Buckshot & KRS released "Survival Skills" recently and Rakim is finally returning with a new album this month. It's almost like everything is coming full circle, like there's room for everyone now. How do you feel about that?
EDO.G: I think it's great. I mean, hip hop needs balance. For so long, at least for the last five years, there's just been kinda one SOUND of music that's dominated the landscape. I think there's room and I think people, people of a certain age, wanna hear music that they can relate to. You know, and we're talking about things that we go through in life and things that people, who are responsible adults in society, can relate to.
