The Rapologist is swiftly gathering his fellow rap compadres for the release of his highly anticipated album entitled "Rubber Band Ready." As the roster of west coast artists continues to expand, Kenny Kingpin insists that he will unveil yet another style he calls, Southern-Cal Swagg.
In 1990, he released "Now the B-Turn" and secured the number 48 spot on the Billboard charts with the "Notes of a Native Son" debut on Island Records. Immediately to follow, he landed yet another Top 100 Billboard hit with "Why Hate Me" from his "Your Entertainment, My Reality" effort. But it was the street anthem "Killaz on the Payroll" that soared throughout the left coast as a founding member of The Regime alongside the Bay Area Commissioner, Yukmouth.
Currently, "Let the Streets Tell It" is the very first single off the forthcoming album "Rubber Band Ready" and is set to outline the hierarchy of west coast riders and the protocol of honor in which they function. It's been an extremely long time to have an album compiled of rappers from opposing sides and multiple territories all together for one common denominator called music, thanks to Kenny Kingpin. "Prior to prison, I took my freedom for granted. Since then, I identified all the potential ways to make at least a million that I overlooked. The messages I deliver to my people are the ones I needed to hear," says the rap messenger.
