Brooklyn Bodega, producers of the 6th Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival (BHF) announced today that legendary producers DJ Premier and Pete Rock will be joining The Large Professor for a special DJ set at BHF '10 Show and Prove Super Bowl. The event will be held a Brooklyn Bowl, 61 Wythe Avenue on Monday, July 5th.

Previously only done in Japan, for the first time ever, fans in the United States have the opportunity to see three of the greatest producers in Hip-Hop rocking the same stage. Brooklyn Bodega and YUME Music have partnered up to showcase this "Unforgettable Set" as the headlining act of its Show & Prove Superbowl where six aspiring Hip-Hop artists compete for two slots that open the stage at the Main Day of the Festival, Saturday, July 10th.

DJ Premier began his career as one half of Gang Starr with his late partner Keith 'Guru' Elam. With songs like 'Take It Personal', 'DWYCK' and 'Step In The Arena,' Gang Starr became the standard bearer for true Hip Hop.

Premier is also known for creating masterpieces for some of the biggest names in Hip Hop. His resume includes production work for The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Jay-Z, O.C., Rakim and many more.

Pete Rock got his start working with the legendary DJ Marley Marl. Initially known as 'The Boy Wonder,' Pete's production and DJ skills became the stuff of legend. However it was his work with partner CL Smooth that launched his career. The duo released 2 albums (Mecca and The Soul Brother, The Main Ingredient) and an EP (All Souled Out) that are still viewed as some of the most complete opus' of the Golden Era of Hip-Hop.

Like Premier, Pete used his group work to launch a trailblazing career as a producer. Pete became the go-to guy for the likes of Nas, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest and many more.

Pete and Premier will be joining The Large Professor on the bill. The Large Pro or The Extra P was the front man for the group, The Main Source. 'Fakin The Funk', 'Looking At The Front Door' are just some of their hits. The Large Professor has also had a successful solo career as well.

Along with L.E.S. and 2010 BHF Bodega Education Initiative panelist Q-Tip, DJ Premier, Pete Rock & Large Professor were the only producers on Nas' landmark debut and all-time classic album, Illmatic.
