Schoolly D Launches Art & Music Showcase at Okay Space Gallery

Fans of gangsta rap and fellow hip-hop enthusiasts, particularly those residing in the east coast, are in for a treat this coming month.

On March 4th, gangsta rap icon Schoolly D proudly announces the official unveiling of his art and music opening at the Okay Space Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. While the critically-acclaimed rapper hinted at graffiti art and particular music events, a recent video dropped to give fans a better idea.

Often credited for being one of the greatest founders of gangsta rap, Ice T goes above and beyond by citing the Philly rapper as the first gangsta rapper. “The first record that came out along those lines was Schoolly D's 'PSK'. Then the syncopation of that rap was used by me when I made '6 in the Mornin'.”

OKAY SPACE GALLERY is located at 281 North 7th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11211.
